Larry Huber, after over 35 years in the foodservice equipment business, founded our consulting firm in 2000 as L. J. Huber & Associates. Doug Huber joined in 2003 and, in addition to his foodservice experience, brought a wealth of financial and business knowledge to the firm. Shortly thereafter, he became a principal owner. Later that summer Larry and Doug decided to change the firm’s name to Foodservice Consultants Studio to better reflect the services offered.
In early 2006 as the number of projects continued to grow, Stephanie Gatewood came onboard to focus on the day-to-day business operations and marketing. Within the next year our continued growth necessitated our move to a bigger, more centrally-located office to facilitate the hiring of additional staff. In the summer of 2007 Foodservice Consultants Studio moved to our current office just north of
Amy Hegarty joined our team in the fall of 2007, which enabled us to include interior design in our service offerings. When Amy became a principal owner in 2009, our firm became a certified women-owned small business.
In 2010 we celebrated our 10th anniversary. Today the Foodservice Consultants Studio team enjoys designing foodservice facilities for all market segments. We are committed to designing sustainable, aesthetically pleasing, and functional facilities that reduce operating expenses, optimize workflow, encourage strict sanitation practices, and provide maximum flexibility for our clients.
